Loves opens new Fla. stop

A new Love’s Travel Stop is open in Cottondale, Fla., at exit 130 off Interstate 10. The stop has 98 truck spaces, DEF dispensers at the diesel islands, CAT scales, five showers, RFID cardless fueling technology and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center. It also includes a Chester’s Chicken and a McDonald’s restaurant. Truck drivers will receive double “I Love Rewards” loyalty points on purchases at the new location through Oct. 29.

Prime Inc., held company picnics for drivers and their families Sept. 3 in Springfield, Mo., Pittston, Pa., and Salt Lake City. The picnics included inflatable games and water slides, face painting and various casino-style games. The Missouri picnic had the biggest turnout with 1,400 attendees. Prime’s Springfield picnic also included a truck driving championship competition, a Pride & Polish truck contest and a raffle.
