| September 07, 2011

Three travel plazas on the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be closed for repairs for about nine months starting in September.

The Plainfield travel plaza, located at mile post 291, and the Blue Mountain travel plaza, at mile post 202, were closed Sept. 6. The South Somerset travel plaza will close Sept. 12.

The travel stops are scheduled to reopen in May, according to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. The facilities will be razed and rebuilt.
