John Steed, of Grand Junction, Colo., owns this 2004 Kenworth W900L, which placed first in the working class combination category at the 2009 Mid-America Trucking Show. The truck is powered by a Caterpillar that has been modified to 1,500-hp and an 18-speed transmission.

After the truck was retired about three years ago, owner Joel Anker had it rebuilt into a show truck. The hard work paid off, with a fifth-place finish in the Limited Mileage -- Bobtail with Miles class at MATS in March.
