Effective March 1, owner-operators with hazmat credentials are eligible to make $1 per loaded mile on every load hauled for American Central Transport Inc., the Liberty, Mo.-based dry van carrier says. Non-hazmat loads are included in the price increase.
Contractors in the process of getting Hazmat endorsements will receive 94 cents per mile until they do so, says Chad Still, ACT recruiting manager.
