Ailing driver gets emergency help

An IdleAir employee helped resuscitate a trucker with CPR after he collapsed at a Jackson, Ga., truck stop, IdleAir spokesman Jeffrey Maurer said.

While two other drivers assisted the trucker, the employee, identified only as Amanda, administered CPR until paramedics arrived. The driver was transported to a hospital soon after that and was later reported to be in stable condition.

The driver’s carrier, an IdleAir customer, was contacted and the load delivered on time by two other of the company’s drivers.
