American Pie: Husband and wife team’s patriotic ’03 Volvo VNL

Owner-operator husband-and-wife team Daniel and Sarah Sauseda of Dallas haul ammunition and explosives nationwide with their 2003 Volvo VNL770. The truck they call “American Pie” has custom dual exhaust stacks and is powered by a 600-hp Cummins ISX engine with a custom tune from a Pittsburgh Power chip. The Sausedas say they average 7.2 mpg in the rig.

Third-generation owner-operator's beautifully-rebuilt 1990 Kenworth W900L
