Volvo’s VNL 780 with Volvo’s D13 engine and iShift transmission was the most expensive 3- to 5-year-old used truck in 2016.

One Women in Trucking Association (WIT) member will walk away from the 2018 Mid-American Trucking Show with a free 2014 Volvo VNL 670, courtesy of Arrow Truck Sales.

Arrow Truck Sales donated the tractor to WIT for a truck giveaway during its annual “Salute to Women Behind the Wheel,” to be held March 24 at MATS.

“Arrow has long been supportive of equality and diversity efforts within the trucking industry,” said Jim Stevenson, Arrow’s director of national accounts and WIT board member.

To enter to win the truck, a driver must:

  • Be a member of Women In Trucking Association by Sept. 30
  • Be a Class A CDL holder
  • Be present at WIT’s 2018 “Salute to Women Behind the Wheel” event to win, or appoint a representative if they’re unable to attend.
  • Write a 200-300 word essay answering the question: Why is it important to increase the percentage of women employed as professional drivers?

Applications may be submitted on the WIT site.
