DriveAtlas offering $5k sign-on bonus for owner-ops

| April 21, 2014

DriveAtlas says it is hiring 200 new owner operators by year’s end. This hiring comes in response to a increases in shipment volume and household moving contracts, freight transportation and logistics services throughout 2014. In addition, the company teamed up with workforce mobility management companies Weichert Workforce Mobility, which also requires the need for additional drivers. The majority of the new fleet growth will be in the Shuttle Fleet, a nationwide drop and hook trailer delivery service network.

The company is looking for owner-operators with at least one year over-the-road experience for the Shuttle Fleet and Commercial Truckload Division, owner operators with at least two years of experience in household moving for the Relocation Services Group and one year of experience transporting electronics or other specialized goods for the Special Products Division. Drivers signing on through May will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus for the Shuttle Fleet or the Relocation Services Group. All DriveAtlas Direct Fleet divisions are leased-on with and dispatched from Atlas’ headquarters based out of Evansville, Ind., though these drivers can live anywhere in the lower 48 states.

Any referrals should be made to the Atlas recruiting department by calling (800) 525-3029 or emailing jobs@driveatlas.com. For more information on Atlas driving jobs, please visit http://www.driveatlas.com.

i once checked into a company that was offering was of these big sign-on-bonuses,,,,turns out that the bonus money ?, is actually your own money, some of these companys have a way of skimming your revenues in a manner that you never see, then give it back to you as a bonus. just remember this, no company gets or stays rich by giving away its own money………….

Different companies pay their sign-on bonuses in different ways, just like one carrier chooses to do business differently than the next. Unfortunately, there are some shady companies out there that you just can’t trust. The sign-on bonuses from DriveAtlas are additional income paid out to drivers, not skimmed from the driver’s income. We provide a separate sheet in writing in our application packet that tells our applicants exactly how much bonus money is paid, how it is paid, and when it is paid. And this is before the applicant signs a contract with us. My approach is to be upfront and honest with our drivers from day one. I want to build a long-term partnership with our drivers.
