Audiobook review: Among the Mad

Among the Mad
By Jacqueline Winspear

On Christmas Eve, 1931, Maisie Dobbs is on her way to see a client when she witnesses a man commit suicide on a busy London street. The next day, the Home Security’s office receives a letter that threatens massive loss of life if certain demands are not met – and the letter specifically mentions Maisie’s name. Maisie becomes an adviser on the case and must overcome darkness to help catch the man who has proven he has the knowledge to inflict death and destruction on the people of London.

The book is the sixth (and latest) in Winspear’s period mystery series featuring Maisie Dobbs. Bookreporter.com reports that the character uses her “hard-wired intelligence and highly developed intuition to aid her in solving cases between World War I and World War II England.”
