Plot: Jason Bourne is back and better than ever. Jason has been asked to check into a murder in Georgetown. From there he is thrown into a world of espionage, deception and former WWII organizations over in the East. Jason has a mentor named Professor Specter who helps to guide him through the city of Moscow and others of the former Soviet Union. Jason ends up having the Russian government and some of the American agencies trying to kill him, particularly the NSA.

The new director of the CIA, Veronica Hart, is trying to put that organization back together, but the NSA wants to get her out because of her loyalty to Bourne. She is the only one who truly believes in Jason. Their motives are clear: Do whatever it takes to stop the terrorism that the former Soviet organizations are plotting against the United States.

This is a listening must for all you Jason Bourne fans. But let me warn you! What you think is happening throughout the book may not be what is really happening.

What was your favorite scene? There really wasn’t a favorite moment in the book for me. All that was happening kept my attention.

Which character was your favorite? Jason was my favorite – not because he was the hero, but because he was determined to protect the United States no matter what the cost was to him.

What was the book’s message or theme? I feel, as always with the Jason Bourne series, that Jason is not going to let anyone or any agency try to destroy him. Also the theme is don’t mess with the U.S.

What did you like or dislike? I liked the part that showed the history of the Soviet Union during WWII and the way some agencies still try to hold on to the old ways of life.

Would you recommend this book to friends? Yes. Mainly because it is good listening and captures your senses as if you are Bourne yourself.

Describe the narrator. The narrator, Jeremy Davidson, made it a point to keep you interested in the book by changing his voice.
