CAB CO-GENERATION SYSTEM
Victron Energy’s diesel-powered WhisperGen provides heat and electrical power for a truck cab.
The unit is compact (18 inches by 20 inches by 26 inches), 198 pounds and is said to operate for six years or 50,000 hours before requiring an overhaul. An integral system automatically starts the WhisperGen whenever batteries require recharging or to meet onboard heat requirements. The 12-volt DC version can produce 1500AH daily, is capable of 20,000 BTU heating capacity and burns 0.2 gallons of fuel per hour.
