Baylor Trucking raises driver pay

Company drivers can make up to 44 cents per mile in a fleet-wide pay increase, Milan, Ind.-based Baylor Trucking Inc. announced. The carrier also started a minimum of $1,000 weekly on Feb. 1.

In business for 67 years, the carrier has terminals in Indiana and Tennessee and serves areas east of the Mississippi River.

The fleet’s headquarters in Milan is part of the small town’s storied history depicted in the classic film, “Hoosiers,” starring Gene Hackman, about the tiny school’s legendary 1954 state basketball championship win. In 1999, Sports Illustrated voted the team one of the top 20 teams of the century.
