Bentz closes operations

Updated Oct 30, 2009

Bentz Transport Products, Inc., in Fort Wayne, Ind., will close Aug. 18 after 17 years of business, the company announced today.

Keith Bentz, president of the aftermarket sleeper cabs manufacturer, said that the closing was due to a collapse in sales. “No sales means no business,” Bentz said.

Products made at the company in addition to the aftermarket sleeper cabs included stainless accessories for medium and heavy-duty trucks.
