CargoNet has increased its reach into trucking and is offering a service package for owner-operators at $49.95 per year, said Maurizio Scrofani, managing director.
Formed in 2009, CargoNet specializes in cargo theft deterrence and advanced analytic functions to recover stolen freight. It offers a nationally coordinated data-sharing system that delivers accurate, timely sharing of cargo theft information among theft victims, their insurers and law enforcement.
The company’s main client base has been insurers, but has grown to include transportation companies, including Landstar Systems, the nation’s largest owner-operator carrier, Scrofani says.
