Kool Pak company driver Mike Mozley has been named a Highway Angel for helping a couple attach chains to their car at roadside, the Alexandria, Va.-based Truckload Carriers Association said. Garrett named Trucker Buddy

Arch Wood Protection driver Randy Garrett was named December 2011 Trucker Buddy of the Month, nonprofit educational outreach Trucker Buddy International announced. Jennifer Austin, a fourth-grade teacher at Demorest Elementary School in Demorest, Ga., nominated Garrett for the award for his volunteer efforts with the students in her class. The nonprofit outreach seeks to encourage students' scholastic achievement and promotes a positive image of the trucking industry.

A new Petro Stopping Center has opened at Interstate 85, off exit 150, in Carnesville, Ga., TravelCenters of America said. Longtime customer John Christner Trucking, of Sapulpa, Okla., celebrated its 25th anniversary with the gift of a customized Coronado from Freightliner Trucks.
