(Photo by 365 Trucking)Celadon Group (No. 32 on the CCJ Top 250) has announced it’s now offering an $8,000 sign-on incentive for lease-purchase team operators, as well as an $8,000 sign-on bonus for company team drivers.
The bonuses will be performance-based, earned as mileage is accrued. Each team member will receive $1,000 when the team hits the 30,000-, 60,000-, 90,000- and 120,000-mile mark.
Last May, the company raised base pay for experienced teams to 50 cents split per loaded mile. Teams that run 17,000 to 19,000 loaded miles in a calendar month receive an extra six cents per mile, teams that run between 19,000 and 21,000 miles get a seven cent per mile bonus and teams that run more than 21,000 miles in a month get an eight cent per mile bonus.
