ChampTruck racing series gears up for Nebraska visit this weekend

Sunday-014Motorsports Park Hastings and Hastings, Neb., will play host to the Meritor ChampTruck World Series race this weekend, the seventh in the series’ inaugural season.

Competitors will hit the track Friday, Sept. 11 through Sunday, Sept. 13. Qualifying and two heat races will be held Saturday throughout the day, then Sunday, two heat races and the final Podium Race will be held.

In the series’ previous race, 10-truck fleet owner and operator Allen Boles took first place for the second consecutive race at Virginia International Raceway in early August.

ChampTruck races field roughly a dozen Class 8 trucks that race in several heats and a main event to determine both a weekend points champion and earn points for the season championship.

Admission is $30 for an adult (16+) for a pit pass two-day ticket, $20 for an adult pit pass one-day ticket, and children 15 and under get in free with a paid adult. Click here to learn more about attending this weekend’s race.
