Ally And Deja Vu 2
When Dallas-based model Ally Peer saw the costume I picked out for her, she started to laugh. I was relieved she had such a great sense of humor because out of all the photo shoots so far, this was the definitely the most whimsical one. We wanted to recreate some of the old Overdrive magazine Christmas covers without resorting to using  traditional Santa suits and I wanted to match an outfit with this beautiful, pale blue show truck, Deja Blue.

Owner Bill Hall Jr., says he got a kick out of seeing truckers do a double-take during the photo shoot after the 2012 Great American Trucking Show. His custom-built 2005 Peterbilt 379’s successful debut at the Pride &Polish show earned first place in working combo. The newest show truck addition to the Bill Hall Jr. Trucking’s 138 truck fleet is painted their customized signature blue dubbed, “nightmare blue,” with twelve white stripes and features a custom kick plate, 8’ Dynaflex stacks, 22’ Valley Chrome front and rear bumpers and over 400 custom lights. The classic/retro look fits with Hall Jr.’s two other winning show trucks, El Patron and True Blue.

Everyone had a great time, including the spectators who gathered around to gawk and take their own cell phone pictures of the holiday-themed photo shoot under the blistering hot August sunshine.

This wraps up our 2012 Beautiful Trucks/Gorgeous Women photo shoots. Stay tuned for 2013 as we gather the photos and stories of Real Women of Trucking.
