Owner-operator Curtis Turk, who hauls jet engines for Aviation Express, lives in Azle, Texas, with his wife, Donna.
When his wife was decorating their spacious sleeper, Curtis Turk joked that her floral touches resembled those of a house of ill repute. “Her next question was, ‘How do you know what a whorehouse looks like on the inside?'”
Curtis can’t recall his comeback to Donna, but he’s ready when youngsters ask about the origin of Cat House, Turk’s name for his 2001 Peterbilt 379. “What I tell the kids is, it’s got a Cat engine in it,” he says.
Caterpillar iron isn’t the only thing judges find powerful about this truck. After laying off from the 2002 and 2003 Pride & Polish shows, Cat House roared back in 2004. The truck won the Peterbilt Council of Class; placed Second, Custom Aftermarket; and placed Third in both Custom Paint Non-mural and Bridgestone/Firestone Most Technologically Advanced Cab.
