Diesel dips, falls below $4

After spending two weeks hovering just above the $4, the national average price for a gallon of diesel dropped to $3.991, falling 3.6 cents during the week ended Dec. 10. New England’s average price was the nation’s highest — $4.175 a gallon — and the least expensive was the Gulf Coast region at $3.874.
