Diesel prices nationally fell for a second straight week.Diesel prices nationally fell for a second straight week.

The national average retail price of a gallon of diesel dropped this week, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The national price declined 3.2 cents to $2.924 in the latest week.

The price is 33 cents higher than a year ago.

All regions declined in price led by a 4-cent drop to $2.89 in the Midwest. California diesel fell 1.5 cents to $3.132, remaining the most expensive in the U.S. The Central Atlantic area dropped 3.6 cents to $3.055. The cheapest diesel remained on the Gulf Coast at $2.866 a gallon.
