Idaho police say they have arrested the driver sought in connection to a trailer — which was filled with 37,000 pounds of rotten chicken — abandoned at a Flying J truck stop last week in Montana.

Officials say the chicken was disposed of in a landfill last week.

Driver Christopher Hall was located in Meridian, Idaho, on Friday and is in custody, though he has been charged with no crimes yet.

Hall reportedly picked up with load of chicken in Arkansas on Aug. 20 and was supposed to take it to Kent, Wash.

However, Hall is said to have contacted Dixie River Freight in Nampa, Idaho, saying he wanted money in return for the truck, trailer and chicken. The company refused and reported the equipment and cargo stolen on Aug. 27.

The trailer was found at a Flying J truck stop on I-90 in Montana last week. The truck was found abandoned at a Wal-Mart in Nampa.
