Drivewyze adds North Dakota to weigh station bypass service

drivewyze

The Drivewyze weigh station bypass system has expanded its services into North Dakota, giving truck drivers bypass opportunities at 13 approaches to seven fixed weigh stations, as well as eight mobile sites, for a total of 21 locations in the state.

The company says the addition of its system in the state will lower the volume of trucks entering weigh stations and mobile sites by reading trucks’ weights from weigh-in-motion sensors in the pavement as trucks pass over them.

Truckers will have the opportunity to bypass the following weigh station sites in North Dakota:

  • U.S. Highway 2 north and southbound in Williston
  • North Dakota Route 2 east and westbound at the Norwich Rest Area
  • U.S. Route 12 east and westbound in Bowman
  • I-29 north and southbound in Buxton and in Mooretown
  • U.S. Highway 81 east and westbound in Joliette
  • U.S. Highway 85 northbound in Bowman
  • I-94 east and westbound at the Apple Creek Rest Area
  • I-94 eastbound in Beach
  • I-94 westbount in West Fargo
  • U.S. 281 north and southbound in Ellendale

“The addition of North Dakota continues the expansion of North America’s largest bypass service network and closes a nearly 400-mile service gap between Moorhead, Minnesota, and Wibaux, Montana,” says Drivewyze President and CEO Brian Heath. “Drivers traveling from Chicago to Idaho now have bypass opportunities in all six states over a 2,000-mile stretch.”
