Eat This, Not That: Pizza Hut pizza

Updated Jun 27, 2014

Pizza Hut offers a good bit of variety when it comes to toppings on a pizza. Pineapple, mushrooms, ham and sausage can all be piled high on your slice, but that won’t help you trim down. Let’s see how TWO slices of the 12-inch Medium Hand-Tossed Meat Lover’s pizza stacks up against TWO slices of the 12-inch Fit ‘n Delicious All Natural Chicken, Red Onion & Green Pepper pizza.

Calories:

Two Meat Lover’s slices have 620 calories.

Two Fit ‘n Delicious slices have 360 calories.

Difference: 260, or 13 percent of your daily caloric intake based on a 2,000-calorie diet.

Grams of fat:

Meat Lover’s slices have 32g total fat, 14g saturated fat.

Fit ‘n Delicious slices have 9g total fat, 3g saturated fat.

Difference: 23g total fat, 11g saturated fat

Pizza Hut’s Meat Lover’s slices have more than triple the total fat and four times the saturated fat of the Fit ‘n Delicious slices. Go with the Fit ‘n Delicious, because you still get some meat but not at the expense of high calories, total fat and saturated fat.
