| April 24, 2013

Epes Transport System recently announced an increase in pay for many of its company drivers. Effective March 1, 2013, the Northeast premium pay for Epes company drivers increased 10 cents per mile. The premium pay will apply to every load delivering to Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Canada.

The pay should be the same no matter where you go, an increase of 10 cents per mile from what? When you make boundaries for pay someone always has to mess with it. Been there done that, it’s another scam. It is no easier driving around any metro area, so what about the Chicago area which we all know is a nightmare. A scam I say.
