Firestone giving away truck, touring baseball and football games
Bridgestone Commercial Solutions announced this week it will be giving away a 2013 Peterbilt to a Class 8 CDL holder in its Drive a Firestone Sweepstakes, which is part of the company’s Firestone Drivers America tour that kicks off this month.
The tour is a traveling road show being held as part of Firestone’s reentrance into the commercial truck market.
The sweepstakes runs from June 28 to Dec. 31, and entries can be made online at firestonetrucktires.com or in person at any of the tour stops (dates and locations below). Five finalists will be given a trip to the 2014 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., where they’ll all be given a key. Whichever finalist has a key that starts the tractor wins the grand prize, the truck.
The grand prize winner will also receive an all-expense-paid trip for two to the 2014 Indianapolis 500.
Firestone is also holding drawings among sweepstakes entrants for an all-expense-paid trip for two to a World Series game in October and an all-expense-paid trip for two to a college football bowl game. Also up for grabs in the contest are five $500 gift cards, five Firestone leather jackets and 10 Firestone shirts.
Entrants must be 21 years or older, be a legal resident of the U.S., have a valid Class 8 CDL and own or operate a Class 7 or 8 truck.
The tour begins July 16 and will stop at minor league baseball games and NCAA college football games around the country to showcase the company’s FS591 steer, FD691 drive and FT491 all-position radial tires. Representatives from Firestone will be on hand at the stops to talk about the tires and benefits of their use.
