First Gear wins top honors at Wildwood Pride & Polish

Pp 2012 Entries 006Randy Stroup’s new creation, a 2005 Peterbilt 379 and matching tanker dubbed First Gear (pictured above), took home the hardware for Best of Show in the limited-mileage combo category this weekend at the first Pride & Polish show of the year in Wildwood, Fla.

The 75 Chrome Shop Show, an annual event held every year since 1998, also crowned three other Best of Show winners who, with the victory, are eligible to compete in Dallas in August for the 2012 Pride & Polish National Championship.

Arnold Frankie Jr. won the Best of Show, limited-mileage bobtail, with his 1994 Kenworth W900L. Ronald Huey’s 2010 International ProStar won Best of Show, working bobtail, and John O’keefe’s ’07 379 and 2011 dump, which he’s named The Low Life, won Best of Show in the working combo category.
