Fit for the Road gears up for GATS

  Truckers News’ Fit for the Road program wrapped up a successful event-filled three days at the Great West Truck Show in Las Vegas last week and plans to a big presence at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Aug. 26-28.

 Fit for the Road, along with the Healthy Trucking Association of America, sponsored Great West’s Health, Wellness & Safety Pavilion, which included health-related screenings, presentations and focus groups.

 Fit for the Road plans to be a part of the pavilion at GATS with Jasmine “Jazzy Jordan on-hand in the booth to sign autographs, Jordan, who recently completed a 3,000-plus-mile cross-country run to generate awareness about truckers insurance and health needs, was the subject of Truckers News’ July cover story

Fit for the Road also plans to hold a 5k-run in conjunction with GATS at Katy Trail. And like at Great West, Fit for the Road and HTAA also will again sponsor a 1.5-mile walk during the show.
