Averitt donates $500,000 to children’s hospital

Averitt Express, based in Cookeville, Tenn., recently donated $500,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cancer research facility. The donation is the single largest ever made in the fleet’s 22-year associate-giving program, which includes a $1.5 million endowment for a leukemia and lymphoma clinic. “This generous gift will ensure that St. Jude can continue conducting groundbreaking research and providing lifesaving care for children,” says David McKee, the hospital’s chief operating officer.
