Bennett, Maverick choose Drivers of the Year
Specialized freight transporter Bennett Motor Express named Robert Wilbur, of Acworth, Ga., General Freight Driver of the Year, and John David West, of Raeford, N.C., Heavy Haul Driver of the Year. Winners were chosen from nearly 700 owner-operators who haul for the fleet, which specializes in heavy, over-dimensional and unusual freight. . . . Maverick Transportation, based in Little Rock, Ark., honored 33-year veteran driver Ben Eby, of Caldwell, Ohio, as its Driver of the Year.
