Con-way recognizes drivers

Con-way Truckload recognized six drivers as its 2009 Drivers of the Year: Al and Jennifer Sidwell of Parkersburg, W.Va.; Michael and Jennifer Burns of Leechburg, Pa.; Ken Taylor of Hallettsville, Texas; and Jon Smith of Joplin, Mo. The winners included both solo and team drivers who had been named Drivers of the Month during the year.

Con-way also recognized Ron Dodson of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and owner-operators Jim Cory of Joplin, Mo., and Jim Freeman of Webb City, Mo., for reaching 3 million miles.


Decker names Drivers of the Month

Decker recently named its December 2009 Drivers of the Month. J.F. Mayo was selected in the Flatbed division. Selected as Driver of the Month for the Reefer/Van division was Rick Lackner.


Transport America recognizes safe drivers

Transport America recognized five drivers — Chris Cameron, Beverly Kulff, Gregory Crow, Karl Hibbs and Norvellis Perkins — who have achieved 1 million accident-free miles.


Marten recognizes November Drivers of the Month

Marten Transport’s November Drivers of the Month are Michael Banks and Petra Wilson, Donald Copeland, Brian Allen, Jeffrey M. Ramsey, Nelson Hendricks, Jason Featherston, Sarah Krus, James Schmidt, Keith Steele, Glen R. Horn, Clinton Foley, Sergio Vazquez, Keith Costin, David L. Mason, Curtis Bankes, Alejandro Barba, Jerry Roberson, Fred Turlington, Stanley Jackson, David Crittendon and Randy Burtner.


CRST offers new lease purchase program

CRST Van Expedited recently announced a new lease purchase program geared toward teams. The new program, incorporating late model equipment (2007 models) coupled with payments under $230 per week, allows teams to be more profitable, the company says.The program includes a percentage pay package, fuel discounts and a maintenance program. Experienced teams are encouraged to apply. CRST Van Expedited also offers a “Train Your Spouse” program for couples who may be interested in driving over the road together.
