A. Duie Pyle receives three awards

A. Duie Pyle was the recipient of three awards in March and April. In March, the company was honored with the 2010 LTL Carrier of the Year Award from Thomas & Betts for performing at the highest levels in several categories: on-time service, claims, EDI accuracy and billing accuracy.

In April, the company received the American Chemistry Council’s 2011 Responsible Care Partner of the Year Award for completing all Responsible Care program obligations and having zero fatalities in the past calendar year. They also received the Compass Mineral 2010-2011 Service Excellence Award for being a company that provides excellent service, innovation and supply chain solutions.

Military names Schneider Most Valuable Employer

Schneider National was named, along with other companies, as Most Valuable Employer for 2011 by CivilianJobs.com for the military. The website helps military-experienced job seekers identify the top employers to target for civilian careers.

Decker names Drivers of the Month

Decker Truck Line recently announced Driver of the Month recognitions for Feb., March and April 2011. For February, Jim Rowe was named Flatbed Division Driver of the Month, and Robert Dodds as Reefer-Van Division Driver of the Month. In March, Kenny Clark was named Flatbed Division Driver of the Month, and Ben Hubbard as Reefer-Van Division Driver of the Month. For April, Chuck Wright was named Flatbed Division Driver of the Month, and Fay “Ed” Burleson as Reefer-Van Division Driver of the Month.

Marten drivers reaches million-mile mark

Marten Transport driver Fredrick Rochon, 51, reached 1 million miles of safe driving. He has driven for Marten for 11 years. Also reaching 1 million safe miles for Marten was company driver Serafin (Skip) Costello III, who has driven for the company for 11 years.
