The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is asking for public review and comments for the core curriculum that could be used by training providers in implementing the proposed National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.
On Dec. 1, 2008, the agency published a proposal to implement the registry, which included minimum training requirements for medical examiners. The draft at http://nrcme.fmcsa.dot.gov would provide core curriculum specifications for training organizations that may need help in developing training courses and material.
To comment, go to www.regulations.gov; the docket number is FMCSA-2008-0363.
