| March 26, 2012

FTC Transportation Inc. driver Jonathan “AZ” Atzenhofer has been named a Highway Angel for performing CPR on a traveler in distress, the Truckload Carriers Association said.

On Feb. 20, Atzenhofer and another driver saw the man in breathing distress and collapse on the ground near a restaurant on Interstate 70 in Watkins, Colo. Atzenhofer conducted chest compressions on the victim while the other driver gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to him, until paramdedics arrived and transported him to a hospital.

Atzenhofer has received a Highway Angel lapel pin, certificate and patch for his efforts. Oklahoma City-based FTC Transportation, Inc. received a certificate acknowledging that one of its drivers is a Highway Angel.
