New Affiliates

Overdrive Trucking News has added six new affiliate stations: KRVN AM 880 (50,000 watts), Lexington, Neb.; CFRB AM 1010 (50,000 watts), Toronto, Ontario, Canada; KBYR AM (10,000 watts), Anchorage, Alaska; KTIC AM 840 (5,000 watts), West Point, Neb; WCLM AM 1450 (1,000 watts), Highland Spring, Va.; and WJFC AM 1480 (500 watts), Jefferson City, Tenn. Schneider Hiring

Schneider National is hiring 200 drivers and owner-operators to fill regional truck driver positions in Virginia. The Wisconsin-based carrier is hiring truckers who live within 100 miles of Gordonville, Va., to support Wal-Mart’s new distribution center. McDonald’s Diner

McDonald’s now offers a “diner” option in addition to its regular menu at a Pilot truckstop in Whiteland, Ind. The new “McDonald’s with the Diner Inside,” which opened Jan. 27 at the Pilot on Exit 95 of Route 65. It features more than 120 menu items, table service and call-ahead ordering. The new restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner items. New items to the diner menu include Belgian waffles, cinnamon swirl French toast, triple-decker turkey and bacon clubs, beef and cheddar melts, meatloaf, chicken fried steak and steak. TransCore Expands

TransCore Commercial Services has announced an agreement with Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores and Fifth Wheel Corp. to add 30 U.S. and six Canadian truckstop locations to TransCore’s North American network of DAT load and information monitors. By installing its monitors in these new locations, TransCore will expand access to the nation’s largest freight-matching network. The load monitors will also provide information the drivers need to haul freight more profitably, from weather and road-condition reports to repair services offered by local businesses.
