Arch Wood Protection driver Randy Garrett was named December 2011 Trucker Buddy of the Month, nonprofit educational outreach Trucker Buddy International announced.

Jennifer Austin, a fourth-grade teacher at Demorest Elementary School in Demorest, Ga., nominated Garrett for the award for his volunteer efforts with the students in her class.

The nonprofit outreach seeks to encourage students’ scholastic achievement and promotes a positive image of the trucking industry.
