Four free, one-hour Partners in Business seminars will be held in two weeks at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas. The seminars will inform owner-operators on how to improve their bottom line by reducing costs and making better business decisions.

Partners in Business is produced via a joint effort between Overdrive and ATBS, the nation’s largest owner-operator business services firm. PIB is sponsored by Ryder and Truckstop.com.

Seminar attendance will also include a free PIB manual, a $20 value that includes detailed advice on planning and running an owner-operator business, including business tips, tax and insurance information, and equipment management strategies and personal finance.

Two seminars are set for Friday, Aug. 25 and two for Saturday, Aug. 26. The Friday sessions, presented by ATBS, will be held from 12-1 p.m. and 2-3 p.m. on the Overdrive Stage in Hall D of the convention center.

Saturday sessions will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on the Truckers News Stage in Hall A and 2:30-3:30 p.m. on the Overdrive Stage in Hall D. Trucking radio host Kevin Rutherford, who is also a former small fleet owner and owner-operator accountant, will speak during the Saturday sessions.

GATS will be held Thursday, Aug. 24, through Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas. In addition to the Partners in Business seminars, attendees will have the opportunity to view this year’s Overdrive’s Pride & Polish trucks, participate in a 5K walk/run benefit, catch live music at the Take a Load Off with GATS and Uber Freight party Friday night and more.
