Great Dane now offering anti-corrosion coating on flatbeds

Great Dane announced at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky. Wednesday that it would begin offering its corrosion control coating, CorroGuard, on the main beam of its Freedom Series flatbed trailers.

The Great Dane show trailer, a Freedom LT flatbed trailer, has CorroGuard anti-corrosion coating on the trailer’s mainbeam as well as the undercarriage and support gear components. Other special features of the show trailer include an extended full-length rub rail, double pipe spools, a single coil hauling package with aluminum cross-members, a Hendrickson TireMaxx Pro tire inflation system, and Accuride Accu-Shield mirror-polish aluminum disc wheels.

After the truck was retired about three years ago, owner Joel Anker had it rebuilt into a show truck. The hard work paid off, with a fifth-place finish in the Limited Mileage -- Bobtail with Miles class at MATS in March.
