The Missouri Department of Transportation will close Interstate 70 between mile markers 248 and 249 in Downtown St. Louis from 8 p.m., Friday, June 25, until 5 a.m., Monday, June 28.
While I-70 is closed, the St. Louis Avenue bridge over the interstate will be demolished.
Commercial drivers are advised to use Interstates 44, 55, 64 and 255/270. MoDOT recommends not using I-70 and downtown streets as an alternate route because of traffic congestion.
