I-80 lanes in Nebraska to be closed

I-80 eastbound lanes in Nebraska will be temporarily closed between the 56th Street Interchange at mile market 405 and the Waverly Interchange at mile marker 409 from 11 p.m. May 31 to 6 a.m. June 1, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.

Eastbound traffic east of Lincoln will be detoured to Link L55X (56th Street) south on 56th Street to U.S. 6 (Cornhusker Highway), then east on U.S. 6 to the Waverly Interchange.

The lane closures are necessary to allow work on the new eastbound Salt Creek Bridge.
