I-80 lanes in Nebraska to be closed

I-80 eastbound lanes in Nebraska will be temporarily closed between the 56^th Street Interchange at mile market 405 and the Waverly Interchange at mile marker 409 from 11 p.m. May 31 to 6 a.m. June 1, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.

Eastbound traffic east of Lincoln will be detoured to Link L55X (56^th Street) south on 56^th Street to U.S. 6 (Cornhusker Highway), then east on U.S. 6 to the Waverly Interchange.

The lane closures are necessary to allow work on the new eastbound Salt Creek Bridge.
