Kenly 95 to join Petro Centers

The Kenly 95 Truckstop in Kenly, N.C., will become a Petro Stopping Center July 1, the facility’s general manager Ernie Brame announced.

Near I-95 at Exit 106, the Kenly 95 Truckstop has been renamed the Kenly 95 Petro. The full-service stop will change the restaurant to an Iron Skillet and the truck service center to a Petro:Lube.

The truck stop is part of the Iowa 80 Group family of companies.

After the truck was retired about three years ago, owner Joel Anker had it rebuilt into a show truck. The hard work paid off, with a fifth-place finish in the Limited Mileage -- Bobtail with Miles class at MATS in March.
