Kenworth T370 getting heavier front axles

Updated Apr 27, 2015

T370Kenworth Truck Co.announced it soon will offer heavier front axles for its T370 Class 7 model. The company said that with the new 18,000-pound and 20,000-pound front axles, customers can put more weight on the front ends for fuel-hauling, dump, mixer, utility and crane applications, allowing more payload in a shorter BBC package.

The new axles are available with the Paccar PX-9 engine rated up to 350-hp and 1,150 lb.-ft. of torque. The package includes a heavy-duty cross-brace reinforced front frame assembly, bolted crossmembers and frame rails of either 10-3/4 or 10-5/8 inches. Iron hubs, drum brakes and dual-power steering gears, along with a power-steering cooler, are part of the spec package.
