About 12 miles of State Route 14 in Utah used by truckers will be closed for months to make repairs after a recent landslide, the Utah Department of Transportation said.
The landslide in southern Utah carrying about 1.5 million cubic yards of rocks and debris destroyed about a quarter-mile of the highway that runs between Cedar City and U.S. 89.
Truckers use the route to get through central Utah and tourists drive it to get to Bryce Canyon National Park. Ranchers also use the route to transport cattle from summer grazing sites.
