Tim regrets singing “Let it Snow” as soon as he enters the blinding whiteness of a blizzard. Suddenly he realizes he’s driven off the road; before he can correct his mistake, he’s stuck in a snowdrift. When Tim looks for help and sees no other vehicles, he knows things are going to get a little chilly.
HOW TO SURVIVE BEING STRANDED IN A BLIZZARD
1. Keep engine idling long enough to heat the cab.
2. Keep running lights on to signal your presence.
3. Use available clothing and bedding to dress in layers.
4. Bring snow inside the cab to melt for drinking water.
5. Use flares to signal rescue workers. If the sky clears and you can see a helicopter, break off a mirror and reflect the sun in that direction.
6. As a last resort, burn a tire away from the truck to create a smoky signal.
7. Stretch and move around to keep blood flowing.
REMEMBER: You can survive without food for up to a month as long as you have a fresh supply of water.
