Love’s in Waller, Texas reopens after 2016 fire

Love’s Travel Stops announced this week it has reopened its Waller, Texas, location 10 months after it sustained damage from a fire.

The store, located along U.S. Highway 290, offers truckers 75 truck parking spaces, an Arby’s restaurant and more.

“We’re happy to reopen our Waller Love’s Travel Stop as it serves countless drivers between Houston and Austin,” said Greg Love, co-CEO of Love’s. “We recognize the need for services and safe places to park and rest in this area and our construction team worked as quickly as possible to reopen it.”

After the truck was retired about three years ago, owner Joel Anker had it rebuilt into a show truck. The hard work paid off, with a fifth-place finish in the Limited Mileage -- Bobtail with Miles class at MATS in March.
