Navistar hires former Peterbilt GM Bill Kozek as president

Updated May 22, 2013

Navistar announced Monday, May 20, that it has hired longtime Peterbilt executive Bill Kozek as president of its North America Truck and Parts division.

Kozek, who’s replacing Jack Allen (who became Navistar’s chief operating officer in April), has worked at Peterbilt parent company Paccar for 26 years. His most recent role was general manager of Peterbilt.

Kozek will repor to Allen as part of the company’s senior leadership, Navistar says.

“Bill is a recognized and respected leader in the North America truck industry, having successfully run both the Peterbilt and Kenworth truck divisions during his career,” said Troy Clarke, Navistar president and chief executive officer. “We look forward to the new perspectives and expanded strategic thinking he will bring to our core North America truck and parts business.”

Kozek was a Paccar vice president and general manager of Peterbilt since 2012, overseeing all of Peterbilt’s U.S. and Canadian operations. He was also VP and general manager of Kenworth, which is also owned by Paccar, from 2008 to 2011. He started as an accountant for Peterbilt in 1987, working his way through various finance roles and then into operations in 1995 for Kenworth.
