New MobileTRAQ ELD from Mobile Awareness

The Mobile Awareness provider of mobile tech for commercial fleets announced the release of a new hours of service solution for a paperless system to comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s electronic logging device mandate. The baseline system is outfitted with Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) & International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) tracking and reporting capabilities, with optional Canadian rulesets as well.

With ready access to online logs and real-time remote monitoring, potential violations can be resolved and data can be used to educate and train drivers at risk for hours of service violations. In addition, the pre-trip and post-trip DVIR simplifies the process of error-free inspection and documentation, further enabling well-timed vehicle repairs.

The system is available now in a BYOD (“bring your own device”) platform capable of functioning with Android devices in-cab (Apple iOS-powered devices are planned for the new year). Pairing with a dedicated, ruggedized tablet is also an option. The tablet comes with a 7-inch touchscreen (water-proof and drop-proof to industrial standards).
