The American Trucking Associations named three winners of its 2003 National Truck Safety Contest. The companies, representing large, mid-size and small fleets, are ABF Freight System of Fort Smith, Ark.; Pitt Ohio Express of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and CLI Transport of Altoona, Pa.

James Blackstone of Dothan, Ala., was the Grand Champion of the Averitt Express company-wide 2003 Driving Safety Championships at its Cookeville, Tenn., location. Second place went to Bill Moser of Atlanta, and third place went to Brent Hawks of Asheville, N.C.
Contract Freighters Inc. named its top July 2003 drivers: Contractor of the Month, Ronnie Crewe of Hayes, Va.; Contractor Team of the Month, Jose and Anna Soto of Farmersville, Texas; Company Driver of the Month, Dennis Platt of DeWitt, Iowa; and Company Team Drivers of the Month, Allan Barr of Covelo, Calif., and Adrianne France of Fairbanks, Alaska.
