SCHNEIDER TESTS NEW TEAM ROTATION PLAN
Schneider National, based in Green Bay, Wis., is testing its new Home Run program.
It is a work rotation that consists of “pods” of three drivers or driver teams living near each other and sharing two tractors. In any given week, two teams will be driving and one team resting, so that each team gets as much as 17 weeks at home per year.


CFI OFFERS NEW NORTHEAST BONUS
Contract Freighters Inc., based in Joplin, Mo., announced a new bonus of 5 cents for each mile dispatched in 12 states and the District of Columbia. The region includes Virginia and Maryland and all states to the northeast.

The bonus applies to all paid miles, including empty or bobtail, and will be paid in addition to the existing bonus for crossing the Canadian border and driving in certain New York City ZIP Codes.

ROEHL TRANSPORT Independent Contractors of the Year include Vic Edwards Jr., William Gardinier, Wayne McCauley and Frank Ondrovic. Outstanding Performance honors went to owner-operators Alan Hartman and David Leigh.

SITTON MOTOR LINES Drivers of the Month include Wayne McGugan of Hephzibah, Ga., February, and Jackie Burks of Riverton, Kan., March.
