SITTON HONORED FOR ON-TIME DELIVERIES

Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse and Alcoa Home Exteriors recently recognized Joplin, Mo.-based Sitton Motor Lines with their top awards for on-time deliveries. Sitton received Lowe’s Gold Carrier Award and Alcoa’s Exceptional Carrier Award for 2002.
The Lowe’s 2002 Gold Carrier Award was Sitton’s fourth award from the national home improvement retailer. Sitton was previously awarded the 1997 and 1998 Carrier of the Year Award, as well as the Lowe’s Gold Team award in 2000.


AVERITT EXPRESS COMPLETES SERVICE CENTER
Averitt Express completed construction on a two-story, 67,000-square-foot service center near Atlanta. The new center triples the capacity of Averitt’s previous local service center, east of Atlanta in Lawrenceville, and it replaces Averitt’s previous service center in Norcross.


AWARDS & RECOGNITION

The CFI 2002 Contractor of the Year is John Pope of Mountain Grove, Mo., and the 2002 Contractor Team of the Year is Stacy and Donna Moran of Granbury, Texas.

CFI also named its December 2002 Drivers of the Month.

The Contractor of the Month is Tony Blaylock of Waukomis, Okla., and the Contractor Team of the Month is Gary and Nora Bulen of Monkey Island, Okla.

CFI also recently honored Delmar Hale of Cabool, Mo., and Steve Dressler of Kansas City, Mo. for logging 2 million miles.
